Painted portraits highlights mental health and the emotions associated with people suffering from depression and anxiety. Inspiration has derived from the Cubist art movement, where colour and shapes are playful.

My own love of colour and pattern is communicated in my work, contrasting bright colours with the emotion of sadness.

The process of applique, bonding fabrics together has been explored, using hand dyed vibrant fabrics and store cupboard dyes. My work is poignant but at the same time fun.
